Melissa Cookston to cook at KY BBQ Festival, another BBQ Pitmasters Finalist

Melissa Cookston of Yazoo Delta Q out of Nesbit, MS has confirmed that she will be cooking for the 1st Annual Kentucky State BBQ Festival. Melissa was a finalist in last year’s BBQ Pitmasters $100,000 Barbecue Competition on The Learning Channel. That make two of the four BBQ Pitmasters finalists who will be in Danville on November 4-5.

Melissa had one of the most successful years of any team in professional BBQ, she also won the National Pork Championship, nine other Grand Championships and her second Memphis BBQ Network Team of the Year award. She has been featured on several TV shows, including TLC’s BBQ Pitmasters and Food Network’s Chopped.
