Colonel Sanders birthday celebration at the KY State BBQ Festival

Colonel Bob Thompson, Col. Sanders look-alike and official spokesperson for Kentucky Fried Chicken celebrated his 83rd birthday at the Kentucky State BBQ Festival.

Special arrangements were made with the Twisted Sifter to produce a cake for Col. Thompson that would befit his unique position. Pam Birt of the Twisted Sifter produced a cake with “KFC” and a fondant fried chicken leg on top.

In this video, Col. Thompson is presented with his uniques birthday cake by Cindy Simmons, co-founder of the Festival.
